PT 16 Doctor of Philosophy (Sports Science with Education)
PT 67 Doctor of Philosophy (Sports Psychology)
PT 68 Doctor of Philosophy (Sports Coaching)
*Main differences between programs are the research area involves and the purpose of the establishment of the programs.
- A Master’s Degree from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) or from any institution of higher learning recognised by the senate; or
- Other qualifications recognised by the Senate (UPSI).
- Fulfillment of the special requirements of the programme set by the faculty (FSSK) (as indicated below).
- International candidates are required to pass TOEFL 550 or IELTS 6.0
Special requirements:
- Minor in a field that is related to Physical Education or Sports Science; or
- Diploma/DPLI in a field related to Physical Education or Sports Science; or
- Five (5) years and above of work experience in sports (certified in related area from institution such as KPM, MSN, ISN, KBS, sports associationor other institutions that are related to sport).
6 semesters (3 years) for full-time with 16 weeks per semester
10 semesters (5 years) for part-time with 16 weeks per semester
Tanjong Malim: Sultan Abdul Jalil campus and Sultan Azlan Shah Campus Proton City. Full research work.
Studies involve performing research and thesis preparation.
Students have the option to register for specific courses based on Faculty’s recommendation and fulfill the requirements of an audited course.
